We ask you to bring your “wish list” and any sample pictures you may have. You can also share your online “pins” as further inspiration. The cost of custom house plan varies widely and is based on many different options. Here are some of the considerations:
SIZE – The larger the home is in terms of square footage, the more the plan will cost. Larger homes have more spaces and details to plan out and require more time.
DETAILS – Some plans include details such as ceiling beams and trays, built-in cabinets, fireplaces , art niches, vaults, etc. These details can require additional drawings for carpenters & others to follow.
LOT CONSIDERATIONS – Lots that are not flat usually involve additional design considerations and often include an additional drawing such as a lower level design.
YOU – Changes mean additional work. If you change your mind, are indecisive, or have to cut square footage to make your budget, you’ll end up spending a bit more than you otherwise would have.
